WHAT WE DO

Curious Nomads is a company that specialises in pop up structures, street food and drink markets, outdoor bar installations and event curation from festivals to immersive experiences. With over 24 years experience in the leisure industry having attracted numerous national and international accolades we, the Nomads, can execute any and all projects with expert precision. We are specialists in transforming derelict and unused spaces as well as heritage sites and grade 1 listed buildings into food and drink pop up concepts that deliver in both customer footfall and retention.

We have a track record of creating leading winter street experiences that comprise everything from alpine huts to ice rinks and big wheels.

We also cater for exquisite weddings and corporate parties offering a very special and unique site for all manner of events.

Finally we offer a one stop shop for any festival or outside bar requirements to fit any event from staffing to management to consultancy in which we can cover all bases from simply managing on the day to curating the entire event, including booking headline acts and entertainment.

KEY SERVICES

CONSULTANCY

We provide consultancy services to the Largest North East leisure businesses. We specialise in concept creation and launch marketing as well as business trouble shooting and venue relaunches. Since Covid 19 we have hugely expanded the outdoor space consultancy services which link to our sister business, Boutique Event Hire that sells and / or offers hire services for key items required to maximise your outdoor space revenue potential.

CONCEPT CREATION & SITE DESIGN

We have helped create a number of the North’s best Venues, Festivals and outdoor Pop Up projects. We have an in-depth knowledge of creating Covid safe Pop Ups and spaces for hospitality and education settings. This academic year we have supplied and designed schemes for the University of York – YUSU, Newcastle University and Northumbria University.

STREET FOOD FINDER

Curious Nomads organise its own street food events, such as, ‘Feast by the Sea’ at Spanish City, Whitley Bay, as well as helps to coordinate the leading street food traders for Pop Ups like Beach Box (Newcastle), Lost In Wintertown (North Shields), Psychopath (Durham) and ‘The Forest’ (University of York). We also offer assistance to many other operators organising single day events, corporate parties or simply a pub that fancies giving their regulars some interesting food alternatives. We also buy and sell street food units as well as fit out bespoke units to your requirements.

We work with you at every step of the way and provide the reassurance you need that all aspects of your day are taken care of. Nigel is the Founder/Owner of Curious Nomads Ltd since 2019 and has over 24 years experience in the hospitality industry.

He has been involved in large scale projects ranging from Radio 1’s One Big Weekend in Sunderland, Leeds Party in the Park, Live at Times Square (Newcastle) to Traction Engine rallies, Vintage Car shows and County Game Fairs.

He is also the Co-founder and owner of Tup Tup Palace and theCUT nightclubs since 2007 and the Founder, owner and operator of Boutique Event Hire Ltd. The North’s Largest event supplier of Structures, Furniture, Bars / Food Vehicles, Entertainment & Event Services
